National Lived Experience Leadership Conference
Destination Home and The National Coalition for the Homeless will host the National Lived Experience Leadership Conference in San Jose, California, from November 11 to 13, 2024. The Homeless Advocacy Board submitted a proposal to speak at that conference, and it was accepted! This is incredibly exciting news for our small group doing big things.
The National Lived Experience Leadership Conference is designed by and for people with lived experience of homelessness. Activists, local leaders, and people with homelessness experience will gather to build power and unity – and mobilize for action to end homelessness.
This annual conference will be hosted for the first time on the West Coast. It will feature panel discussions, action labs, and workshops led by experts in the field—including people with lived experience of homelessness. Every aspect of this conference—from logistics planning to session themes—is being informed by the perspectives of the people who are most impacted by this issue.
